French Feminism: J. Kristeva’s intellectual agency
Abstract

In this article I will point out the intellectual agency of Julia Kristeva as a very important voice in the realm of French Feminist Studies and beyond (Feminist Theory, Critique of Identity, Psychoanalysis, Socialist Realism). At this point I will provide an exposè of her contribution in the conceptualization of Écriture feminine proposing the concept of intertextuality to explain the interconnectedness of all aspects of communication synthesizing a new methodology bestowed to us as semanalysis. It was out of this analysis that she produced and developed the concept of chora, which in itself remains a pre-linguistic and pre-subjective realm of psychosexual development. Further more, I intent to transmit that J. Kristeva’s logic approaches a product built - up as identity and as such to reason out the identity conceptualization we unquestionably proceed with its connotative evaluation in its meaningful totality. In addition, I will also explore how her concepts find room in Socialist Realism developed in the Communist Albania.

Simulation in nursing education: A literature review
Abstract

The use of simulation is not a novel concept in nursing education. As early as the first two decades of 20th century, the educational preparation of future nurses has involved simulation-based experiences. Current practice in health care and nursing promotes the incorporation of evidence to guide professional decisions and practice. A review of literature and studies is undertaken to explore simulation in nursing education, as well as examine the available evidence to support its continued use as a pedagogical modality or tool in undergraduate nursing programs.

Develop a structured model to assist the evaluation of value for money achieved on public private partnerships in Libya
Abstract

Public-private partnerships (PPPs) play an important role in bringing private sector competition to public monopolies in infrastructure development and service provision and in merging the resources of both public and private sectors to better serve the public needs. However, in worldwide practices, there are mixed results, substantial controversy, criticism and conflict over PPPs. The main characteristics of Build-Operate-Transfer “BOT” structure projects are long term contract, Private sector bears a significant share of the risks, and performance based- High level of private investment, it is essential for the public and private partner to extensively evaluate all the potential risks throughout the whole life of the project to decide whether to take up the project or not. This is done through incorporating risk assessment into value for money analysis, which is affected by the amount of risk associated with a project. Therefore, the main objective of this paper is to presents an alternative risk assessment and profit approaches to align benefit both public sector sponsors, by creating value for people, and investor interest, by generating attractive returns in supporting PPP selection.

An infinite servers queue systems simulation applied to the respective busy period time length distribution and parameters study
Abstract

A FORTRAN program to simulate the operation of infinite servers’ queues is presented in this work. Poisson arrivals processes are considered but not only. For many parameters of interest in queuing systems study or application, either there are not theoretical results or, existing, they are mathematically intractable what makes their utility doubtful. In this case a possible issue is to use simulation methods in order to get more useful results. In fact, using simulation, some experiences may be performed and the respective results used to conjecture about certain queue systems interesting quantities. In this paper this procedure is followed to learn something more about quantities of interest for those infinite server’s queue systems, in particular about busy period parameters and probability distributions.

Develop the financing of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects
Abstract

Public private partnerships (PPPs) are procurement models used in the provision of public infrastructures and involving private, as opposed to public, finance. The PPP model differs from the traditional public procurement model in this sense and in the unprecedented degree to which the private sector is involved. All things being equal, the rationale for choosing a PPP instead of a traditional public procurement model is if it provides a better Value for Money. As a result, a crucial issue to address is to find the key drivers of Value for Money in PPP projects and most importantly, to analyze the relationships between those key drivers and the complex notion of Value for Money. This study is based on a large overview of the literature together with contributions of informal interviews and my own opinions. Emphasis is put on the importance of risk management from financiers’ perspective and its consequences on Value for Money. The findings highlight the current problems in the Value for Money assessment that make the analysis hardly reliable. Good and bad practices in Value for Money assessment are discussed and potential solutions and guidance toward more Value for Money are provided.

Modeling of heat transfer phenomena in the process of coal pyrolysis
Abstract

A steady state model of heat transfer phenomena coal pyrolisis in a batch reactor has been developed. The reactor was heated from the outside. The study was focussed on the heat transfer process in connection with the product distribution, especially on the tar product. Nusselt number had been choosen as the control number in the heat transfer process. From this study it is found that the highest tar product happened when the process temperature was 600 0C, the particle size was 6/8 mesh, and Nusselt Number was 253.887.

Scenario of aging and human development in Iran: A sociological study of quality of life
Abstract

The paper explores how the concurrent changes including improving welfare, better life conditions, literacy, work status, food intake, urban life and in general, globalization have led to human development followed by aging of population in Iran. However, aging as a global phenomenon is spreading worldwide ___ more in the Western world, and to a lesser extent in the developing world. While the number of aging people is gradually surging, yet the necessary institutions and infrastructures are not increasing that enough to cope with the needs. Though the main method of research used in the present article is empirical, yet it is preceded by theoretical and literature review. For the present research five hundred elderly people have randomly been selected, and the main hypothesis for which is: "increasing security of the elderly positively enhances their quality of life". In conclusion, the research finds out that the new generation of the aging people have new expectations and needs as compared with the previous generations.
