Deviant and Conforming Motorist Behavior at a Four-Way Stop
One hundred observations of motorist behavior at a four-way stop revealed frequent deviant behavior, i. e. the motorists often violated the rules/laws for the four-way stop situation. Specific examples of how these violations occurred are provided. Possible explantions are presented, including possible cultural differences in driving in this USA border town near Mexico.

A differential equation occurring in the M|M|∞ queue parameters study using a Markov renewal process
This work main objective is to present a process to compute the Markov renewal matrix R(t) for Markov renewal processes with infinite countable states space, which semi-Markov matrixes Q(t) are immigration and death type and assume a tridiagonal form. These processes occur often in practical applications. And the difficulty in obtaining friendly results for R(t) is a great obstacle to its application in practical cases modelling. It is exemplified the application to the M|M ∞ queue particular case. The work presented in (5) is resumed but now the emphasis is put in the determination of a pfaffian solution that must be considered in this example.

Painless "Hunger-death" is a myth
Since at present A.D. 2015 around one billion people are exposed to hunger (< 200 kcal/caput/day) -among them around 7 million children (aged < 5 years) and around 4 million neonatal deaths- we will discuss the important question “Do we have pain during starvation resulting in a hunger death?” Because of the total physiological and biochemical degeneration during a hunger death, we can assume it will be accompanied with tremendous pain which can be relieved by treatment anodyne medicine like morphine, which are not available for these one billion people in the underdeveloped world. When agriculturist don’t succeed to meet the feeding demands of the ≈ 10 billion people who will life at planet Earth at the midst of this century a tremendous disaster and hunger pandemic will strike planet Earth. Food is so integral to human wellbeing and there is such a close relation between energy, food, nutritional quality and health on a global scale at our planet that it not only opens the discussion about the ethics that at present on a global scale the neglected ≈ one billion people are dying a cruel hunger death, but also suggest a smart innovative perspectives “to ban the hunger”, and over a period of three decades gradually make the transition gradually from a fossil energy driven economy towards a seaweed based economy meeting the 8 millenium goals.

The influence of technology on parent responsiveness
Objective. Technology in the homes has been increasing in the new millennium, and has changed how parents and children interact. The goal of this study was to explore whether parents use technology in responsive ways that support childhood development or unresponsive ways that disrupt the parent-child relationship. Design. This study used a likert scale survey to ask 40 parents (ages 24-42) how they use technology with their children (ages 3-8). Results. Parents use technology in both responsive and unresponsive ways; however, parents appear to use technology more often to be responsive rather than to disrupt the relationship. Conclusions. Parents appear to use technology responsively with their children more often than unresponsively. These findings contrast modern media and the single previously published study that was found. These results provide guidance for encouraging the use of technology by parents to support child development.

Counseling the adolescent: what changes has the internet (and technology) wrought?
The adolescent in the year 2015 is quite unlike the adolescent of 20 years past. Counselors need to be sensitive to the world view of these students, and be aware of the fact that the adolescent may have a totally different perspective on life, liberty and their pursuit of happiness, and perhaps be less capable of coping with emotions, and interpersonal issues and agendas. This paper explores some of these issues and provides some guidance for counselor trainers.

A correlation analysis of rocky desertification grades, plant diversity and soil factors in central Hunan of China
Karst rocky desertification (RD) in central Hunan is a part of karst land degradation in southwest China. The change in grade of RD, or succession, has led to ecological degradation and seriously hindered socioeconomic development. RD succession is influenced by soil and vegetation. Taking central Hunan regions as a study area and using SPSS17.0 statistical software, we investigated the correlation between RD grades, plant diversity index and soil factors. Results showed that RD grades showed a significant positive correlation with soil organic matter (OM) and cation exchange capacity (CEC).
The plant diversity index was positively correlated with the soil fertility index and showed a significant positive correlation with OM and available elements. Further analysis on the available elements showed that total plant diversity indices including Shannon-Wiener index H', Pielou index E and Simpson P had significant positive correlations with available magnesium (AMg). Total plant diversity indices E and P had significant positive correlations with available calcium (ACa). These conditions might have closely reflected the particular microhabitat types of RD regions.
The correlation between RD grades, vegetation and soil factors suggested that the relationship of the three was co-evolutionary. To enhance RD control and treatment effectiveness, increasing the content of the ACa and AMg may be more impactful than increasing the content of OM in central Hunan.
