Comparison of elementary school student learning outcomes between urban and rural environment
Abstract

Students with urban and rural social backgrounds, who are in the same educational institution, elementary school, allow students to show different learning outcomes. This is due to the influence of their respective social behavior and habits, in their social implications. Students with urban social backgrounds seen from a more advanced social, economic and cultural life, with the complete facilities provided, are very supportive of the student learning process, this is illustrated from everyday life. Meanwhile, rural social life that appears to be routine habits, simple social actions, and lack of knowledge of technology and other supporting facilities for progress; therefore, the attitude of passively accepting the state of nature is still evident. Such conditions, which geographically within the scope of their regional boundaries, in different social institutions, need proper attention and management, so that they can have the opportunity to advance together.

Management of education infrastructure in Katingan district elementary schools
Abstract

Educational facilities and infrastructure are all facilities used in the learning process, both mobile and immobile, so that the achievement of educational goals runs smoothly, regularly, effectively and efficiently. School facilities and infrastructure will provide optimal benefits to students and teachers if their management is good. The management of facilities and infrastructure has to be carried out properly, services to all school members will increase in quality. Therefore, the management of facilities and infrastructure must be guided by existing references and practical problems faced by students and teachers. Headmaster is responsible for the existence of school facilities and infrastructure because it is directly related to the learning process in the school, while the manager is responsible for the organization and management of educational facilities and infrastructure. In order for the facilities and infrastructure to function optimally, it is necessary to manage both the management of buildings and equipment in schools.

Problem solving methods influencing mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students in Palangka Raya
Abstract

The problem-solving method has advantages, especially it can make school education more relevant to life, the teaching and learning process through problem-solving can accustom students to face and solve problems skillfully. This method stimulates the development of students' thinking abilities creatively and thoroughly because in the learning process students do a lot of mental action by highlighting problems from various aspects to find solutions. The application of the problem-solving method makes students more skilled in solving problems related to math problems. Problem-solving methods will also help students understand because they relate to everyday life. Students can also practice their numeracy skills based on correct mathematical concepts when solving problems because students learn based on a systematic process. Also, students are facilitated to work together in groups and respect other people's opinions when solving problems, and foster motivation to learn. Student's learning interest and the role of parents on student learning outcomes in Palangka Raya elementary school
Abstract

Two factors affect learning outcomes, namely internal and extraneous factors. Internal factors are within the person who learns including health, intelligence, and talents, interest, and motivation. External factors are from outside includes the family environment, school, community, and the environment. These factors interact with each other in achieving student learning outcomes and also support the success of students in learning. The role of parents is very important in education because education is first and foremost starting from the family environment and parents are the main key to the occurrence of education in the family itself. Therefore, to produce high-achieving students, a teacher must be able to synergize all of the above factors in classroom learning.

Teacher capability and student motivation determine learning achievement in elementary schools in North Barito Regency
Abstract

Teacher plays a major role in the teaching and learning process, and determine the success of students. Therefore, teachers need to increase their competence in carrying out the teaching and learning activities, take a more intense approach to students who are still considered to need guidance in understanding material that is considered difficult. These teacher factors must be accompanied by student performance, which is reflected in achievement. Learning is more emphasized in the process of activities and the learning process is more emphasized in the learning outcomes achieved by students. Therefore, learning achievement is an actual ability that can be measured and is in the form of mastery of knowledge, attitudes, skills, and values achieved by students as a result of the teaching and learning process at school.

Utilization of documentary film as a source of historical learning for multimedia based junior high school students
Abstract

History records past events and knowledge, which contains wisdom values and can be used to train intelligence, shape the attitudes, character and personality of students. Substantially, historical material contains heroic values, exemplary, pioneering, patriotism, nationalism, and an unyielding spirit that underlies the process of shaping the character and personality of students. The need to combine technology and education encourages a variety of creativity that appears as a motivation and paradigm to carry out education that is not monotonous and has high material absorption. Through audio-visual media, students are increasingly excited to learn and understand history. In this way, the teacher of the first middle school history subject used documentary films to increase the enthusiasm of students to study history. By using this film, students are expected to be able to understand and be able to analyze each problem being studied.

Role of teacher in the enforcement of rules for junior high schools
Abstract

The focus of this study is the forms of efforts to raise legal awareness for students in Indonesia through the provision of civics lessons in schools. The provision of civic subjects is a compulsory curriculum in every junior high school throughout Indonesia. It is the need for school rules and their enforcement, which are fostered by educators. The school rules are written rules formally made by the authorities with certain considerations that are following the situation and conditions of the school and contain things that are required and prohibited for students while they are in the school environment. In addition to providing knowledge about the scope of civic education, teachers can also shape values and norms of legal awareness in the inner minds of students. Thus, the learning outcomes are not only about students understanding citizenship but also being able to interpret their existence as part of the state, and especially legal awareness as a part of personal life which also helps shape students' behavior and future.

Information technology and communication based citizenship education learning in junior high schools
Abstract

Information and communication technology needed in the learning process is to meet learning needs and increase creativity and efficiency in learning. In the teaching and learning process, the presence of the media has a fairly important meaning, because in this activity the unclear material can be helped by presenting the media as a means. The media can represent what the teacher is unable to say through certain words or sentences, even the abstractness of the material can be made concrete by the presence of the media. Thus, students digest material more easily than without the help of the media. The delivery of information only through verbal language can lead to verbalism and misperceptions, as well as the desire of students to capture messages will be less, because students are less invited to think and live the messages conveyed, even though to understand something requires both physical and psychological involvement of students.

Examining career planning in terms of some variables: an application on the students of the faculty of sports sciences
Abstract

This study aims to examine the career planning of sports science students in terms of some variables. The universe of this study, which is carried out with the relational scanning method, one of the quantitative research designs from non-experimental methods, consists of students who study at the departments of Physical Education Teaching, Sports Management and Coaching at Usak University Sports Sciences Faculty. Among the improbable sampling methods, convenience sampling method and 95% confidence interval according to 5% margin of error; The sample of the study determined (male = 130, female = 92) consists of 222 students in total. In the study, data were collected with the career planning scale. Since the data are suitable for normal distribution, the parametric tests were analyzed by T-test and One-way Anova tests. Significant differences were determined between the career planning processes of the students and the level of coaching, working in any institution, sports branches, and age variables. As a result, students’ career planning levels are high. They believe that the professional awareness of the students between the ages of 19-21 and who have a second level coaching certificate and the theoretical and practical education they receive at the university for sports branches are sufficient. They think that students’ professional awareness in sports branches and the choice they make in the career planning process of this profession are correct.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze special physical education and sports facilities' service quality. The study that to be made about sports facilities quality, usage, effectiveness that some of the major issues of sports on these days, is considered having an important place in basic field of sport. Residing people in the city center of Muğla created the scope of this study, therefore, individuals who participated in our research voluntarily created its sample. Based on ‘’Service Quality Assessment Scale’’ developed by Lam (2000) as a data tool, that adopted to Turkey revising validity and reliability by Gürbüz (2003) as a “Service Quality Assessment Form” was used in research. Furthermore, the demographic information form was applied to use as descriptive information in research. The sample group in the research was selected indiscriminately using a random system. Kolmogorov Smirnov normality test was used to analyze the data. One-way analysis of variance (One Way Anova) was used to determine the difference between the binary variables and the independent t-test. Significance level p<0.05 was taken. Statistical solutions were calculated by using a statistics program. t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used in the analysis of the obtained data and the correlation between various demographic factors was examined. There was no significant difference in terms of quality of service between the gender factor of the participants, the year of sports, and the frequency of doing sports per week. Again, in service quality analysis, a significant difference was found between the educational status factor and service quality. As a result, increasing the quality of service in special physical education and sports facilities is related to demand and customer satisfaction. It is thought that this situation can be changed by increasing the general education level of the society.

Traditional market management development strategy in Palangka Raya
Abstract

The important function of traditional markets, apart from being the estuary of the local people's products, is also a very meaningful job for the community. The system changed to regional autonomy, with almost one hundred percent of all decisions regarding licensing being the authority of the regional leadership. Traditional markets with all their traditions need to be maintained, but along with the current cultural developments, people have begun to shift and switch to modern markets so that traditional markets do not only face competition between traditional markets but also modern markets, thus making the current conditions of traditional markets increasingly threatened. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a traditional market strategy for its sustainability.

Preliminary study of rattan craft application on one village one product in Kapuas regency, Central Kalimantan
Abstract

One village one product (OVOP) is an approach to developing regional potential to produce a unique global class product that is unique to the region by utilizing local resources. One village as referred to can be expanded into a sub-district, district/city, or other regional units in accordance with the economic potential and scale of business. With the OVOP program, it is hoped that attractive markets and product displays from developing countries, including their own countries, can be promoted to the international community at large. Rattan handicrafts in study area, Pulau Telo Village, Selat District, Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan, have the potential to be developed into regional superior programs or superior commodity areas. The rationale is that each region generally has its own peculiarities in producing several superior products. The unique characteristics per region or region with these specific products deserve to be raised and developed for the local community and bring added value. The development of handicraft product designs in this area is one aspect of all aspects related to the OVOP approach to developing the potential of an area. Therefore, a strategy is required that covers all related aspects.

Overview of sociology of law on agricultural land conversion in Pulang Pisau Regency of Central Kalimantan
Abstract

This study takes a legal perspective on land conversion from agriculture to settlements, plantations, industries and other services. The location taken in this research is Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan. Discussed here are several aspects of legal reconstruction and social review, which are less understood in the context of land use change. So far, the community, stakeholders and law enforcement have used the basis of positive law and customary law, without including humanist sociological analysis to provide new views on the problem of land conversion. This is a new problem that needs to be solved comprehensively. The priority in the sociology of law strategy to overcome land conversion in Pulang Pisau Regency is to utilize and optimize the potential of own land and sufficient land area to expand the food estate area, and support government incentives as well as increase production and reduce land conversion by increasing the government's role in providing assistance.
